Cosmos IoT believes in corporate social responsibility and does so in the broadest sense of the word. We use the 17 sustainable development goals of the United Nations for our strategy. In addition, the CSR strategy is used with the pillars; people, planet and profit.
Main focus of Cosmos IoT on sustainable development purposes
Unfortunately, we cannot continuously focus on all sustainable development goals. For this reason, the development purposes that best fit Cosmos IoT's core business are described below. We want to be involved in more goals in the future.
- Good health and well-being
Good health and well-being is at the core of everyone's life. Cosmos IoT tries to contribute to this by improving air quality in buildings (schools, offices, hospitals and public places) and ensuring sufficient ventilation and fresh air. Poor air quality can lead to concentration problems, headaches, nausea, spread of respiratory viruses and more...
- Quality education
By improving our solution for air quality in schools, we contribute to increasing the quality of education. Both the teacher and the students retain their energy better and can therefore concentrate better on the learning process.
- Affordable and sustainable energy
By using sensors we can reduce the energy consumption of buildings by up to 35%. This allows us to reduce the demand for energy, making it more affordable for others and allowing them to switch to sustainable energy more quickly.
- Sustainable cities and communities
This development goal best fits the core business of Cosmos IoT. We are continuously working on innovation to make life in buildings and cities more sustainable and easier. For example, we are currently developing noise meters so that the local government can intervene and ensure less noise pollution and decibels. This in turn contributes to the ecosystem and reduces stress in people.
- Responsible consumption and production
Our sensors enable companies and private individuals to make responsible consumption possible. The sensors are responsibly produced and run on the most energy-efficient network in the world, LoRaWAN. Long-distance communication is possible on this network, which means that fewer receivers are needed for the sensors. In addition, the sensors can run for 5 to 10 years on two AA batteries, and every part is also recyclable.
People, planet and profit
People
People are central to our organization, regardless of origin, religion and orientation. We also treat our suppliers and customers in this way. We develop a healthy working environment for employees and their environment, but also for employees of our customers
Planet
We try to do as much as possible for the planet and the environment of our organization (North Holland). To this end, we advise companies on sustainability through smart sensors, which reduces energy consumption and subsequently saves money in the wallet. This sustainability measure also reduces CO2 emissions, which is good for the planet and the air quality of the people in the area.
Profit
Naturally, income must also flow from the above to guarantee the continuity of our organization. These profits are also invested in innovative sustainable developments and the sustainability of Cosmos IoT.
